I built my businesses here over 30 years ago because I believed in this community then as much as I do now. But I feel we can do substantially better as a city in delivering services to all the residents. That begins with focusing more on improving communication with all our residents. As leaders, we have a duty to listen more to our constituents and inform them of the decisions that affect them.
Finally, we need a mayor who can collaborate with others, listen to the key stakeholders and make the best decision for our residents ahead of any personal agenda or inside deal making. That’s how I run my business and that is how I will govern as your mayor.
IMPROVE OUR QUALITY OF LIFE
Purchasing state-of-the-art equipment for all our first responders including lifesaving gear for firefighter/paramedic
Addressing truck traffic, congestion, and pollution
IMPROVE HOW RESOURCES ARE ALLOCATED
Advocating for equal investment of city resources for/in all neighborhoods
Pursuing additional grant funding for major city projects
Reducing unnecessary expenditures
Eliminating no-bid contracts
IMPROVE HOW OUR CITY IS VIEWED
Collaborating with business and governmental leaders/organizations on regional issues facing Joliet
Creating more pride in our neighborhoods by reallocating money and manpower for beautification projects
Expanding city sidewalk repair program
Addressing dilapidated and abandoned properties by getting them back on the tax rolls
